The World’s Bible


We are the only Bible the careless world will read,


We are the sinner’s Gospel; we are the scoffer’s creed.


We are the Lord’s last message given in deed and word,


What if the type is crooked? What if the print is blurred?


What if your hands are busy with other work than His?


What if your feet are walking where sin’s allurement is?


What if our tongues are speaking of things His lips would spurn?


How can we hope to help Him and hasten His return?


To hasten our Lord’s return we truly need more power.


So let us all be Spirit filled and awaiting Him each hour.


In an hour that we think not, He said He should appear.


Then let us walk in Holiness and meet Him with a cheer.

The Gospel According to You


You are writing a gospel, a chapter each day,


By the deeds that you do, by the words that you say;


Men read what you write, whether faithless or true.


Say – what is the gospel, according to you?

He spoke


He spoke and the worlds came to be,

He spoke and the waters did flee,

He spoke and the blind could see,

I see and speak, Lord, how thinkest upon me?


The Son of God came, not as a king but stable – born,

A servant, God manifest in flesh – adorned!

He did only good, but sinners of Hell He warned

Then died and rose to save us, who were lost and forlorn.


He reigns now as Savior and Judge in His Father's glory,

And wills that souls believe the old, old story.

Those who receive Him are forgiven and born from above,

Receiving His Holy Spirit, to manifest God's love.


So great salvation! But such faith must be tried;

So great reward, so in Christ abide.

Forsake all and follow Him who cannot lie,

Who for the glory set before Him, was faithful to die!


Those who receive (and so follow) the Lord Jesus Christ,

shall forever know peace and joy when they see God's face.

But those who sin away their day of grace,

shall find eternal torment, shame and disgrace.


So for those who from Christ are yet apart through sin,

we plead, "forsake the foolish and live" by truly receiving Him!

"Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever" (Rev. 5:13).

 

Freedom not Sodom!


There's freedom in America, the land of the red white and blue;

but there still must be laws, things you just can't do.


You can't marry your sister, your brother, or the family pet;

a sheep, or a goat - at least not yet!


That how is it with homosexuality, what the Bible calls sodomy;

men lying with men as with women, is perversity!


That they're not designed that way, tis easy to perceive,

but yielding to sinful desires, man is soon deceived.


A moral wrong is not a civil right; like the sin itself, that's confusion;

calling evil good and exchanging light for darkness, is sure delusion!


History tells us where this will lead, from societies now in dust,

When a nation casts off the laws of God, and follows it's own lusts.


Promoting a sin which sends one to Hell from an early grave,

dishonors God and robs man of the Life He gave.


There's but one answer: the Risen Jesus gave Himself for our sins;

Repent and believe, then truly follow Him!

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

 

I would be a vessel clean

I would be a vessel clean,

cleansed from every stain of sin.

seeking first Thy will to know,

Telling of Thy wondrous love,

pointing souls to Christ above,

Toiling onward by Thy grace,

till i see Thee face to face.
